In dentistry, botox is most often used to treat high lip lines in people who have difficulty adjusting to new dentures, as well as lip enhancement.

We’re about to explore some of the different uses of Botox in dentistry and how it might be able to help you. But first, what is Botox?

Why Do Dentists Use Botox?

The benefits of it for dental patients have already been discussed, but it’s critical to define what it is.

As a muscle relaxant, Botox is often used to reduce wrinkles on the skin. It’s derived from a bacteria called Clostridium botulinum, which can be found in many natural substances. A small dose of Botox is administered during treatment, which lasts for a short period of time.

Botox treatments cannot be maintained without regular Botox injections. To preserve and maintain the results of Botox you will need regular Botox injections.
